The Synn Gives Back With Black Tie Bingo

GUELPH, ON, March 3rd, 2011 – Synn Studios is proud to once again be a sponsor of the Guelph General Hospital Foundation’s Black Tie Bingo event.

This is the third year in a row that Synn Studios has been a high level sponsor of this event. Through the silent auction, The Studio has raised over $1,500 for the Foundation, and The Synn on a whole has given oven $25,000 of in kind donations in time, equipment and personnel. Synn Studios CEO Thomas Gofton also sits on the Foundation’s Black Tie Bingo committee, participating in the yearly organization of the event.

As part of this year’s sponsorship, Synn Studios filmed videos tailored to the 2011 theme, “The Roaring Twenties.” In The Synnema, a 1920s style speakeasy was created complete with an artificial smoke-filled atmosphere. Members of the Foundation committee played gangsters and molls in the middle of a card game. (See images below.)

The video is being used as part of the ongoing sponsorship that Synn Studios provides to the Foundation on a yearly basis. Additionally, members of the Studio will be in attendance at Black Tie Bingo on March 5th to help in the smooth operation of evening.

Sponsoring Black Tie Bingo is one of the many ways Synn Studios gives back to the Guelph community, using our film talents to tell the story of businesses and charitable organizations from around the Royal City.
